DMV in Panama!!!!!

One of the things you need to remember about Latin America is that nothing goes as planned, I have spent 10 trips to the DMV over the last 8 months trying to pick up my Liecense Plate, today was the lucky day!!!!!!!!! I now have my Plates and the Police will be very unhappy because they will not be able to pull me over any more... The Funny thing is today my fees for next year are due!!!

They told me to check back next week to see if my Plates will be here, you just have to Laugh!!!

Pereira, Colombia The Zoo!!!

I thought it would be a little cheesey, but to my surprise it was very cool.. It was feeding day Iso I got to see all the Big Cats Chomping on Bones, it was amazing to see how agressive they can be when eating, Yikes!!

The Aviary was really cool because they had about 200 differnt Birds in one Giant Open Air Cage, and of course you could kind of Interact, you look at them and take Photos while they Poop on you!!

It is a cloudy Rainy Day again, no worries.. I am off to Bolivar Plaza, The Zoo, Botanical Gardens, and still looking for the best cup of Coffee...

Night Life

Walking back to the Hotel, about 1/2 mile, I passed some really cool clubs, people hanging out, good music.. tomorrow night I will give a better report.. Right now i am done!!!!

Steak House!!!!!!!!

Wow I am not in Bogota anymore, Dinner was good, Ok, Very few choices, no wine list, but great service, great attitude, I still had fun!!!!

1st Night, in Pereira!!!!

I am heading out to the Local Restaurant Row, looking to find the Number one Steak House in Periira... I will let you know if it stands up to Gauchos in Panama City, or Rincon Argentino in Mexico City

Just Landed in a very Exciting Rain Storm!!!! Left Panama City 90 degrees and 100% Humidity, Pereira is about 6000 feet up, Cold and rainy...

Quite a transition, I am heading to do a little recon of the City Center, and make the biggest decision of the day, where to eat tonight!!

A Quick Getaway!!

I am leaving next friday for Pereira Colombia for three days, then to Mexico city for three days, then Laguna Beach California for a week... Then Back to mexico City!!!!

More Medellin

The Botero Museum and Plaza is a must see, and you have to check out the Metro and the Cable Metro. This is a very modern and safe City.

New Years Day 2009

I woke up to a City completely shut down, not even the coffee shops are open, Medellin is a very interesting place. The wild, crazy partying of the night before is last years History.. 

I know it is a cliche to have a New Years resolution or as we do in Panama Burn away in effigy the wrongs and pains of the previous year,  literally burning the sins of the past to usher in the new by lighting Life size models of ourselves and friends on fire!!!

So somewhere between atonement and resolution I will start 2009 with big plans for myself, friends and family. I hope you will come along for the ride!!!!

 

I want to start the New Year with some big plans for travel, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Paraguay, Uruguay will all be visited in the first months of 2009..

I will list as many of the sights, sounds,  and tastes that I can remember. you know it is not easy traveling this much. I feel the most comfortable, the most free when I am "on the road"

That is where I intend to spend 2009, come and join me!!!!
